Well, with AVON, we make money from 2 different sources. The first is our commission on our sales to our customers. The second is a bonus on the sales from our "downline" team members when we choose to enlist others to join us in our venture, and we build a team. This is called "Leadership".
Some people choose to jump into Leadership from the beginning, in tandem with selling AVON to friends and family. Others choose to wait until they are comfortable in their own AVON business before deciding to build a team, and some people focus purely on sales and do not want the responsibility of Leadership. It all depends on what a particular representative's wants or needs are.
In my case, being disabled, I needed the security of that additional stream of income as I do not get Social Security Disability .
